Quick question: do you think the era of the phone is ending?

I do think this notion of all apps being an island unto themselves is on its way out soon.

A unified interface to do anything is the future now. If I want an uber I ask for one. I don't care how it's done or what app I need to learn / install.. it's all about 2 things: proactive information (having the things you want to see delivered to you intelligently) and 2, on-demand need fulfillment (performing a task across ecosystems without friction).

Agents do both of those things. Imagine a news agent that aggregates and sends you important bits of info throughout the day proactively. Maybe a notable move in a stock or a headline. Like a friend would. You can literally fine tune it verbally (hey can you send me more stock quotes? Can you send me the weather in the mornings? And when the weather comes, oh can you do like a 3 day forecast? Can you send me the day's tasks from todoist? Twice a day around 6a and 11p can you send me a batch of the day's news headlines? Later on, hey can you stop sending me things from tomshardware? There's no dashboard to control or settings to futz with. Just tune it with your words over time. That's not an AGI that's just an LLM with a better memory and a smarter backend.
